Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)
Responsible for Environmental Operations, monitoring and compliance in line with the various environmental approvals and DCM management systems
Key Individual Accountabilities
Strategy
Identify, plan, develop, monitor and implement Environment Operations systems at site for consistent business operations in compliant manner.
Financial
Lead environmental resource target for water & waste reduction also resulting in cost saving.
Customer/ External Orientation
Ensure that all communications from the department to customers is prompt and courteous. Maintain the effective interface with external authorities.
People Orientation
Lead Environmental operations team performance. Define KRAs, performance assessment and communication of role accountabilities and deliverables to the team & guide them.
Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to DCM Vision and Core Values and active participation in various team engagement activities.
Core operational accountabilities
Responsible for Environmental operations mainly an integrated Effluent treatment plant of larger size and incineration facilities. Execution commissioning, running and troubleshooting of Zero Liquid Discharge Facility.
Responsible for hazardous / solid waste management & handling of solid waste. Take care of air pollution control systems including associated statutory requirement compliance.
Fully aware about various EHS legislations, GPCB, CPCB & MOEFCC guidelines, EMS- 14001 system & other systems such as Responsible Care and ISO systems.
Responsible for environmental monitoring systems, procedures and interpretations. Setting up Environmental laboratory.
Identify new technologies for improvement in current processes / additional requirements and ensure its implementation.
Extend support to Central EHS in conducting EIA, Public Hearing and obtaining Environmental Clearance, Consent to Establish & Consent to operate, etc.
Lead Environmental audits, trainings, EMS implementation and improvement drives to ensure compliance at site.

Qualification
Should be M.Sc. (chem)/ BE (Chemical) with PGDES or ME (Env), having 15-20 years of experience in
ENVIRONMENT management systems & operations.
Having experience in a large scale chemical/ Chlor-alkali industry is preferable.
Having diploma in Industrial Safety/NEBOSH certificate will be an added advantage
