Job Title: Assistant Manager – PLM
Role & Responsibilities:
Ensure timely availability of components to support operations
Ensure components required to revoke MEL are made available well within defined timeline.
Reliability monitoring of components on quarterly basis and take up with vendor to improve reliability.
Monitor performance of service providers and escalate to Management if performance remain unsatisfactory in two successive quarters.
Ensure timely release of indents for IP spare parts and follow up with vendors for availability prior to aircraft EIS.
In lieu of TAT crossed units, follow up with vendors for supply of exchange or loan units
Ensure effective forecasting of TCI parts; accordingly liaise with vendors for availability prior to schedule replacement.
Negotiate with vendors on repair quotes of non-contractual parts or CID parts.
With respect to units sent for deeper investigation due to recurrent failures, liaise with OEM/MRO for declaring such units as rogue
Ensure tires / spares forecast is effectively managed with availability of at least 3 months stock of tires / consignment spares stock at all times.
As decided from time to time, vendor SBs if any, are complied during the shop visits of the units to attain higher reliability.
Ensure contractual provisions are meticulously adhered by all individuals within team
Ensure agreements remain valid at all times; escalate to Reporting Manager 6 months before the expiry of agreement term.
Any special observations from the vendor about the inadequate maintenance practices leading to failure of the components are conveyed to the concerned departments internally.
Ensure costs are kept down & statistics is compiled for savings achieved in each quarter.
Liaise with all internal teams to ensure timely release of payments to MROs / service providers.
Any other duty as instructed by Reporting Manager.
Be aware of and comply with his / her safety responsibilities and accountabilities as laid down in the IndiGo SMS Manual, Chapter Safety Policy and Objectives.
