PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
We are seeking a passionate and strategic DEI Lead to for the development and execution of the Bank's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda. This role requires a strong influencer who can design and implement a robust DEI framework, align stakeholders across levels, and champion a culture of inclusion and belonging. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high ownership, resilience, and the ability to lead change in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy and Planning
Execute the DEI roadmap in accordance with the bank’s culture, values, and business goals
Develop DEI metrics, and governance mechanisms to track progress and impact across business units
Benchmark global and Indian best practices to continuously improve the DEI roadmap
Program Design & Implementation
Drive high-impact DEI interventions in collaboration with respective HR Teams like HRBPs, Employee Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Employee Engagement
Lead inclusive leadership development programs, allyship workshops, and sensitization trainings
Embed DEI practices in policies, processes, and employee lifecycle touchpoints.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with senior leadership to integrate DEI into business strategy and organizational priorities.
Manage impactful and nuanced conversations with CXOs and business heads, influencing mindsets and fostering commitment.
Engage with employee resource groups, external partners, and DEI councils to co-create inclusive initiatives.
Being part of the DEI Council of the Bank, ensure regular update meetings are conducted where necessary decisions are made in consultation with the Council Members
Change Management
Act as a change agent to shift behaviors, reduce bias, and promote psychological safety across the organization.
Use data-driven insights to diagnose cultural challenges and recommend targeted solutions.
Management Reporting
Track and report DEI performance metrics regularly to all stakeholders
Communicate progress and timelines transparently to DEI Council through dashboards, reports, and storytelling

ROLE PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Graduate Degree; Master’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field will be preferred
8-12 years of progressive DEI / HR /OD experience with 5-6 years in DEI or large-scale transformation roles
Proven experience in designing and executing DEI programs in large or matrixed organizations.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate DEI concepts into actionable business outcomes.
High emotional intelligence, maturity, and the courage to manage sensitive conversations at senior levels.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
Comfortable working with data, metrics, and digital tools to measure impact
