Safety Officer - FTE

Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

This role is primarily responsible for:

● Ensure JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Permit to Work System is strictly implemented.

● Perform daily site inspections for unsafe action

Key Individual Accountabilities

Strategy ● To support working strategies are executed in a manner that is in alignment with the project Execution Plan.

Financial ● Focus on cost optimization activities for completion of project within defined cost.

Customer/ External Orientation 

● Coordinate & work closely with the internal/External stake-holders to achieve project in Time.

Key Accountabilities:

● Ensure JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Permit to Work System is strictly implemented. 

● Perform daily site inspections for unsafe action, condition, worker counselling and following up for pending unsafe act/conditions with concerned departments and contractors. 

● Conduct regular site inspections according to the predefined checklist and provide report to the project safety manager. 

● Plan and conduct meeting with contractor safety officers. 

● Provide inputs for safety MIS. 

● Conduct permit to work training for contractor job supervisors. 

● Conduct regular on job safety trainings. 

● Conduct safety campaigns and mock drills. 

● Arrange accident prevention program through trainings, personnel and group wise counselling.

Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge

● B.Sc./Diploma with minimum of 4 years’ experience as a safety officer in a Construction/Manufacturing

Industry.

● Industrial Safety Diploma or NEBOSH IGC.

● Should have good knowledge and awareness in safety rules and regulations & BOCW rules.

● Effective problem identification & problem solving Innovative & continual improvement mindset.

● Operational knowledge of Computers including SAP. ● Should have exposure of necessary statutory compliance. ● Should have knowledge & exposure of Environment, Health & Safety requirements.
