Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)**
Responsible for achieving excellence in Safety Management and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements.
**Key Individual Accountabilities**
* Monitoring and addressing compliance with all EHS procedures as per company, GPCB, and DISH requirements.
* Creating, circulating, and enforcing hazard assessment processes, accident investigation procedures, and other health and safety policies, practices, and procedures.
* Leading or participating in the investigation of workplace accidents and non-compliance.
* Recommending and approving corrective actions after incidents or as a result of identified non-compliance.
* Tracking incident metrics, identifying trends, and taking corrective action for the plant.
* Ensuring the completion of various health and safety reports for internal and external clients.
* Providing advice and direction to employees and management on how to minimize or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace.
* Offering general health and safety advice to all employees.
* Managing prescribed emergency procedures, such as fire drills and scope-specific emergency tests.
* Identifying appropriate health and safety training for different hierarchical levels and ensuring all employees have adequate training for their roles.
* Delivering health and safety training and presentations, including new hire orientations.
* Organizing safety meetings.
* Administering audits and inspections.
* Participating in PSM activities like PSSR, PSI, and OSEP.
* Reviewing safety clearance for Permit to Work and auditing the same for compliance on-site.
* Active involvement in IMS and maintaining its records.
* Carrying out safety inspection checklists for the site and analyzing them to identify gaps and propose control measures.
* Participating in incident investigation processes, HIRA, JSA, and PSSR as required.
* Conducting monthly contract safety meetings and identifying areas for improvement.

**Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge**
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10–14 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in large-scale projects, along with certifications like PDIS or ADIS.
* Experience in construction/project safety and manufacturing safety.
* Thorough knowledge of PTW, project safety, and contract safety management.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, team management skills, and leadership skills.
* Effective communication with the shop floor team for safety activities.
