Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

To have safety resource available for central safety drives, System compliance monitoring, data management and

initiatives.

 Preparation and manage yearly EHS budget, EHS Capex etc.

Core operational accountabilities

Key Responsibilities

 Responsible for Daily plant round to identify the unsafe act, unsafe condition, near miss and report the same in EHS software. Coordinate with the various departments to implement corrective and preventive actions to close the Unsafe conditions/Near Miss etc.

 Responsible to conduct safety conversation with the contractual workers as well as DCM employees to improve and build positive culture.

 Responsible for implementing various safety procedures as a part of Project Blessed.

 To support and advise the internal departments, vendor for preparing JSA for all the activities to be carried out at Plant.

 Responsible to conduct Safety Talk to contractual workers and company employee in Plant on regular basis

 Responsible for Preparation of SOP for Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hydrant system, CO2 Flooding system.

 Ensure 100% PPE Compliance of contractual workers as well as DCM employees.

 Responsible for Inspection of various equipment/safety shower/foam monitors/SCBA/portables equipments/

vehicle/machine etc. on regular basis.

 Encourage the team members of plant to report unsafe act, unsafe condition and Near Miss.

 Responsible for preparation of SOP for Safety Shower, PSV, Rupture Discs and co-ordinate with the various department for the preparation of SOPs of all departmental activities(mechanical. Electrical, Instrumentation, Process etc.) to be carried out at Plant.

 Take proactive control measures to ensure Zero accident at Plant.

 Responsible for coordinating and ensuring participation of plant team for EHS days celebration to enhance safety awareness.

 Responsible for Pre planning the EHS activities asper Monthly EHS Plan and coordinate with plant team to implement it.

 Responsible for conducting EHS Training of Contractors & employees on regular basis.

 Responsible for 100 % Verification of compliance of the permit by visiting the plant to cross check the permit physically on daily basis and reporting the non-compliance.

 Participation in various safety awareness campaigns like Safety Day, Fire Safety week, Environment day etc.

 All the scaffolding should be erect as per IS 3696 by crosschecking and providing Green Tag before using the scaffolding and on weekly basis, scaffolding inspection to be done.

 Responsible for co-coordinating and ensuring participation of plant for EHS days celebration to enhance safety awareness.

 Responsible to conduct the various Audit such as PTW audit, Electrical audit etc.

 Responsible to conduct and coordinating various survey such as illumination, machine guarding, safety signage etc.

Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge

 Graduation in Engineering / Science preferably in chemicals with PDIS/ADIS/Diploma specialization in Safety /

Environment with 8+ years of experience preferably in MAH Units/ Hazardous Chemical industry.

 Overall knowledge of the industrial safety, Factory Act, Gujarat factory Rules, IS14489, MSIHCL rules, SMPV

rules, PESO rules, ISO 45001/14001 standards.

Knowledge of legal compliance, Statutory & regulatory requirements and firefighting/ first aid.
