We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Business Analyst with a nursing and hospital/ healthcare management background to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze healthcare systems, processes, and data to improve patient care outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The successful candidate should possess deep knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare management principles, and information systems to provide valuable insights and recommendations to drive positive change within our organization.
What will you be responsible for :
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on nursing best practices, healthcare management principles, and industry trends to support informed decision-making.
Perform detailed process mapping, workflow analysis, gap analysis, to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies in nursing and healthcare management practices and recommend appropriate solutions to bridge gaps and achieve efficiencies and optimize revenues.
Identifying areas of potential risk or non-compliance with healthcare regulations, work with internal teams to mitigate these risks.
Stay abreast of emerging healthcare technologies, industry trends, and legislative changes to anticipate and adapt to evolving healthcare requirements and opportunities.
Stay up to date with healthcare regulations and ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH Act, relevant regulations, and emerging technologies that could impact the healthcare business.
Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for proposed healthcare initiatives and projects related to nursing, assessing the potential impact on patient care, operational processes, and financial outcomes.
Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements and functional specifications to drive the development and implementation of healthcare system/ process enhancements and software solutions.
Research, analyze, and interpret complex healthcare data, including medical records, market studies, financial reports, and performance metrics, to evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare programs, operations, and initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including nursing, IT, finance, and healthcare management, to identify business needs and analyze healthcare systems and processes to document and improve clinical and administrative workflows, ensuring best practices and compliance with regulatory standards, and to implement technology solutions and process improvements.
Providing training and support to the caregivers on new processes and system changes, as needed.
Assist in implementing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality improvement initiatives to evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare interventions and management strategies.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance and efficiency.
Who we are looking for:
B. Sc. / M. Sc. Nursing and /or equivalent degree recognized as Registered Nurse in US Healthcare.
Current nursing license or certification.
Master’s degree in healthcare/ business administration &/or related field.
Good to have- Nursing specialty trainings/certifications, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Certification/ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Strong knowledge and understanding of nursing practices, healthcare management principles, and healthcare information systems.
Experience in Virtual Nursing- Remote patient monitoring/ ICU Telemetry/ Virtual Medical Assistance required.
Good understanding of US healthcare industry, regulations and compliance standards and proven experience as a healthcare business analyst or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex healthcare data and draw actionable insights.
Proficient in data analysis, process mapping, and workflow analysis techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to different stakeholders.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in using analytical and project management tools/software.
