Job Role: Regional Claims Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Thorough Knowledge in Handling Claims under all Commercial Lines of Business viz Fire, Engineering, Marine , Liability & Miscellaneous with specialisation on Marine & Liability Claims
• Managing Claims Team across assigned Zones & Regions
• Monitoring and settlement of all Coinsurance claims on timely basis
• Approval of Surveyor’s deputation on real time basis
• Approval / Recommendation of all Claims under DOA within set timelines.
• Analysis of Claims data and conducting meetings with Marketing team and underwriting team on monthly basis
• Training and guidance to all team members
• Technical support on day-to-day basis to all Team members and to encourage team members to acquire insurance qualifications.
• Sending of Claim Alerts to MD & all Business Heads
• Attending to Customer / Business Team Meetings
• To monitor and control the Loss Ratio as per the Set Targets
• To review and monitor the ICA on regular basis to achieve the monthly budget
• To provide regular feedback to Business / Underwriting Team on adverse Claims / Policies.
• Compliance of ISO Quality Objectives at all times.
• To visit Major Loss Locations in coordination with the Region / Surveyor to have first-hand information on the loss.
• Handle Escalations with reference to Claims and resolve the issue on timely manner.
• Review of Outstanding Claims and to drive Disposal of Claims
