Job Role : Managing Director

Position Overview 

We are seeking a seasoned consulting leader for our Bangalore office to help shape, grow, and deliver strategic advisory engagements in a leadership capacity. This Managing Director role is pivotal to our continued expansion in southern India, and will involve overseeing complex consulting programs, managing high-value client relationships, and driving value creation across both public and private sector mandates. 

The ideal candidate must bring 18+ years of progressive experience in consulting, with a strong foundation in digital and technology-driven transformation, stakeholder management, and strategy execution.

 Key Responsibilities: 

➢ Strategic Leadership: Represent and grow Primus’ presence in Bangalore and the southern region through high-impact engagements. 

➢ Consulting Delivery: Oversee the design and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder programs involving digital transformation, policy, and technology enablement. 

➢ Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to CXOs, department heads, and senior government officials on matters of digital strategy, enterprise modernization, and organizational transformation. 

➢ Business Development: Identify new opportunities, shape proposals, lead pursuits, and build long-term relationships with key public and private sector clients. 

➢ Thought Leadership: Contribute to the firm’s positioning through whitepapers, events, and strategic insights on digital transformation and emerging tech. 

➢ Team Leadership: Mentor and guide consulting teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and client-centric delivery. 

Key Requirements: 

• 18+ years of total experience, with at least a decade in consulting roles focused on digital, IT strategy, enterprise transformation, or related areas. 

• Experience working with or advising public sector clients (government departments, urban local bodies, state agencies) as well as private enterprises. 

• Familiarity with digital platforms, emerging technologies (cloud, AI/ML, data, ERP) and how these drive transformation at scale.

• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in business growth, client management, and team leadership. • Deep understanding of the consulting lifecycle—from strategy to execution—with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. 

• Experience in Tier-1 consulting firms or large-scale transformation programs is highly desirable.

 Educational Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Economics, or related fields 

• Master’s degree (MBA/ or equivalent) from a reputed institution is preferred
