Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)
This role is primarily responsible for handling operation of IT infrastructure services related to LAN/WAN, ISP
connectivity, CCTV systems, EPABX Systems, desktops, laptops, printers, network, firewalls, Audio Video
devices, servers, helpdesk operations etc. This individual will oversee IT procurement, IT vendor management, IT
asset & Inventory management, and will be responsible for ensuring the organization's IT systems are secure,
reliable, and operating at peak performance. The role also requires a understanding of cybersecurity basics and
hands-on management of IT infrastructure operations preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Key Individual Accountabilities
Strategy
Ensure IT Infrastructure Service Availability: Maintain high availability and reliability of IT infrastructure, ensuring that critical systems, networks, and applications are up and running with minimal disruption.
Align IT Infrastructure with Business Goals: Ensure that IT systems, tools, and processes directly support the organization’s business objectives, including operations, customer service, and growth strategies
Ensure IT Efficiency & Cost Optimization: Streamline IT processes to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of performance and security.
IT Resource Allocation and Vendor Coordination: Efficiently manage IT resources, including cost, personnel, and vendor relationships, to support business objectives.
Optimize IT Operations and Helpdesk Efficiency: Ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations and prompt resolution of issues through effective helpdesk management.
Lead and Implement New IT Infrastructure Projects: Oversee and lead the planning, execution, and delivery of new IT infrastructure projects to support the growth and evolving needs of the organization.
Financial
Cost Control & Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT expenditures to ensure that costs are kept within budget, identifying areas where cost savings can be realized without compromising service quality or security.
Invoice and Payment Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments related to IT infrastructure, services, and projects.
Customer/External Orientation
Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects and services. Oversee procurement for IT hardware and software.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
Provide training and guidance to IT helpdesk staff to improve service delivery and user satisfaction.
Specific Skills/Capabilities Required:
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN, including hardware and software resources across the organization.
Manage ISP connectivity and ensure high availability of the network, including troubleshooting any connectivity issues.
Supervise the operation of CCTV systems, ensuring all surveillance equipment is functional and operational.
Administer the EPABX system, including configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable voice communication.
Manage desktops, laptops, and user hardware, ensuring they are properly configured, updated, and secure.
Maintain and troubleshoot network servers, storage, backup and ensure its efficiency and security.
IT Helpdesk Operations:
Oversee the IT helpdesk operation, ensuring quick response times to IT support requests.
Ensure the implementation of ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem management.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
Provide training and guidance to helpdesk staff to improve service delivery and user satisfaction.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
Manage the procurement process for IT equipment, software, and services.
Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships to ensure cost- effective and high-quality service delivery.
Track procurement budgets, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational objectives.
Act as the point of contact for external IT service providers, managing and resolving issues as needed.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Ensure the proper configuration and maintenance of firewall systems to protect the organization’s IT assets.
Work with IT security teams to implement basic cybersecurity measures and policies.
Perform routine security audits and vulnerability assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Stay informed about cybersecurity trends and assist in the implementation of preventive measures.
Other Responsibilities:
Support the continuous improvement of IT systems and processes.
Assist in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects, including hardware/software upgrades and system migrations.
Provide technical support and guidance to various departments.
Collaborate with other departments, including HR and Finance, to ensure IT alignment with business needs.

Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
7-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management in the manufacturing industry or related sectors.
Certification in ITIL, Cisco, or other network/security-related certifications is a plus.
Strong understanding of network systems, hardware, and software.
Understanding of firewall systems and cybersecurity best practices.
Proven experience in vendor management and procurement processes.
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and processes.
Knowledge of EPABX systems, CCTV management, and IT hardware lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience in configuring and managing network and security devices (firewalls, routers, switches).
