1. ROLE OBJECTIVE
Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures.
Controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
Recruiting, training and supervising security officers and guards.
Operational support for business growth.
2. JOB BRIEF
Organize and oversee all security operations at Jhagadia and adjacent sites.
3. DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, wherever applicable
STRATEGIC/ POLICY
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
- To Integrate Security function with other business functions.
OPERATIONAL
- Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses in consultation with Head HR
- Access control of man and material
- Gate management – Employee/ Material gate as per SOP
- Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards
- Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
- Coordinate with various officials when responding to emergencies and alarms
- Review reports on incidents and breaches
- Investigate and resolve issues
- Create reports for management on security status
- Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)
- To take initiatives on training & talent development to employees for Fire fighting
- To develop intelligence network in the premises
- Strong relationship building with police department and local community
- To build informal information channel among surrounding community
- Protection of assets of organisation within and outside premises
- To ensure availability of all security equipments in operative conditions and its availability round the clock.
FINANCIAL
- Minimise Security expenses by innovation
- Use of equipments/technology to reduce dependency on manpower
- To develop alternate options to minimise expenses.
PEOPLE
- To bring transparency and harmonious relationship among employees and people around
- To identify potentials in employees and provide suitable training with vision to develop future department / section leader.
- To visualise and understand unquoted issue and support people to overcome.
4. KEY INTERACTIONS
Internal External
- Interacts with other department’s Liason and Excellent relations with
strategies and policies. Local Police and other government officials
- Takes views of other departments on Liason with Sarpach and other local
forming Security policy in consultation people of repute
with Head HR Brings in Industry best policies
Sharpens own knowledge by attending
external programmes
5. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
(Special technical skills & knowledge needed for the satisfactory performance of the job)
- Graduate with 10+ years' experience in security operations in medium to large manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of all latest security and fire equipments
- Excellent man management skills
- Flexibility in getting things done
- Development of Vigilance and intelligence network
- Diagnostic and analytical skill to handle people issues.
- Championship in change management.
- Mentoring ability and model role for fresher.
- Effective communicator and Counselor.
- Knowledge of IMS and RC System.
- Knowledge of SAP operating system.
