Seed Production Manager

Purpose of the Position:

Planning and conducting the Parents testing of all required pipeline parents as per protocol to meet requirement of Hybrid seed production & hybrid advancement.

Planning and conducting the process research trails to improve the producibility of hybrids in seed production.

Responsibilities:

To plan and organize the PT/PR trails in required number, type of trails & locations in accordance with the approval

To plan & execute the Farmers for Parent Testing(PT) and Process Research trails(PR)

To plan and procure required inputs to support better establishment of Parent

Testing(PT) and Process Research trails(PR)

To plan and organize the seed materials required for PT &PR trails in coordination with Breeding, Parent seed teams

To coordinate all PT & PR trails activities with respect to trail sowings, Agronomy, data collection, updating, compilations and analysis and sharing of the info on regular interval

To organize logistic support for all PT & PR trails samples drying & post-harvest activities

To ensure Quality of PT & PR samples testing for QA related aspects

Preparing the data & analysis files for review

Preparing compensation details of PT & PR trails farmers

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of Seed Production & Agronomy

Statistical skills & Knowledge of Experimental Techniques

Analytical & Data science skills

MS Office

Qualification & Experience:

MSc (Ag) with more than 5 yrs experience in SPR.
