We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Market Research Analyst to join our team. This role involves extensive travel across India to conduct in-depth market research at various distribution channels and retail outlets selling skincare products. The successful candidate will play a critical role in gathering and analyzing data to inform our marketing strategies and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Field Research:
o Travel extensively across India to visit retail outlets, pharmacies, supermarkets, and specialty stores selling skincare products.
o Collect data on product availability, pricing, shelf placement, and promotional activities.
o Observe and record consumer behavior and purchasing patterns in different regions.
2. Data Collection & Analysis:
o Conduct surveys and interviews with store managers, sales personnel, and customers to gather insights on product performance and customer preferences.
o Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the skincare market.
o Compile and present detailed reports on market conditions, competitive analysis, and sales trends.
3. Market Intelligence:
o Monitor competitor activities, including new product launches, marketing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
o Keep abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory changes affecting the skincare market.
4. Collaboration:
o Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product development teams to share insights and recommend strategies.
o Collaborate with external agencies and vendors for data collection and analysis, as required.
5. Reporting:
o Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and actionable recommendations.
o Develop and maintain a database of market research data for future reference.
6. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data by adhering to established research methodologies and ethical standards.
o Continuously refine data collection processes and tools for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
• Master degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Preferably worked as Sr. BE / MR or ABM.
• 2+ years of experience in market research, preferably in the FMCG or skincare industry.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively and adapt to different cultural environments.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
