Job Title: Strategy Manager

Job Summary:
The Strategy manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of the overarching group strategy across the group. This role is for a highly motivated self-starter who can provide strategic thought leadership and lead projects with limited guidance. This role works closely with the Corporate Strategy Head/Group CFO and other team members to conduct strategic analysis, evaluate existing and new business opportunities, and contribute to the formulation of strategic plans and initiatives. This role will lead key initiatives and impactful
projects to drive the growth for the group and is responsible for providing strategic insights, conducting research, and leading the implementation of strategic projects across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Analysis and Planning:
Evaluate potential new markets, analyze trends, competitive landscapes, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities for growth.
Identify and evaluate the feasibility of new initiatives/businesses through detailed assessments, including financial analysis, development of business cases, and alignment with organizational capabilities to support informed decision-making.
Lead pilots and incubation of selected new businesses to be added to group protfolio, working directly with senior leadership including business CEOs, CFOs and promoters.
Conduct in-depth "outside-in" analysis to identify industry trends, competitor innovations, and emerging opportunities in existing and new businesses.
Validate the accuracy and feasibility of BU strategic plans through rigorous analysis and research.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives and monitor their impact on business performance
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress and effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
2. Strategic Alignment and Execution:
Champion the execution of key strategic projects by collaborating and leading cross- functional teams across business units.
Manage templates and guidelines for strategic planning across the conglomerate.
Conduct regular interactions with the business units to ensure alignment between business unit strategies and the overarching group strategy.
Develop templates to standardize processes, ensure compliance, and create a single source of truth.
Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to derive insights and develop actionable recommendations.
Regularly assess the performance of all businesses, provide support to help meet defined targets and unlock strategic growth aligned with group strategy.
Refine existing governance frameworks, and accountability structures to support strategic execution.
Organize knowledge-sharing sessions and maintain a repository of strategic insights and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Master’s degree in business administration, in strategy, economics, finance, or a related field from a tier-1 institution / university (IIMs or other institutions of similar reputation)
Experience:
5-7 years of post-MBA experience, in corporate strategy, business development, management consulting, or similar roles, preferably within diversified conglomerates or consulting firms.
Proven track record in strategic analysis, market evaluation, and strategic planning for businesses or industries.
Experience in leading or contributing to cross-functional strategic initiatives and projects.
Familiarity with the industries and business verticals relevant to the conglomerate's operations is preferred.
Familiarity with technology related products and services including but not limited to Artificial intelligence, Drones, GCCs, Data centers etc.
