Production Manager

Key Responsibilities / KRAs

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily/monthly production to meet order commitments 

• Oversee production operations; ensure optimum capacity utilization with minimal rejection/rework 

• Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction and yield-improvement initiatives across the foundry 

• Ensure preventive maintenance of furnaces, moulding lines and machinery to minimize downtime 

• Coordinate with QC for in-process quality checks and with sales/dispatch to meet delivery timelines 

• Implement safety standards, 5S and statutory compliance on the shop floor

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering 

• 15+ years of experience in production management within a Cast Iron/Ductile Iron foundry or heavy engineering manufacturing set-up 

• Hands-on expertise in melting, moulding, core-making, fettling and casting processes for Agriculture, OEM & Automobile components 

• Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity utilization and lean manufacturing/TPM practices
